The history of the Marché Aux Fleurs

On the occasion of the Floralies Internationales in 1980, flower markets were set up in the squares of the City of Montreal, including Phillips Square. The administration wanted to see the birth of a policy to improve the urban environment and the quality of life in the city centre.

In 2018, after more than 30 years of existence, the Marché Aux Fleurs is closing its doors on Phillips Square.

In 2021, a grand opening on the square in front of St. James United Church. Our aim is to continue to improve the daily life of the inhabitants, workers and visitors of the city centre.
